Today is September 22, which officially marks the first day of fall. And while it still may be in the low 90s throughout the South, we can't help but dream of cooler days, snuggled up in warm blankets by a fire while we watch the leaves fall from the trees!
One way to bring that feeling closer to home, despite the warmer temps outside, is to update your home decor to invite the autumn season inside. Lindsay (our resident designer and hostess with the mostest) has some tips on how you can bring on the season.
Tip #1: Change out your pillows for some in the beautiful warm colors of the season - think orange, red and neutrals. Also, anything with a texture (think faux fur) cozies up any seat.
Tip #2: Get out all your cozy throw blankets and drape them over your couch and chairs for those nights curled up by the fire.
Tip #3: Tablescapes are a great way to bring in seasonal decor. Add faux pumpkins, candles, fall leaves & flowers to your tables for your next get together to get everyone in the fall spirit.
Tip #4: Replace your photos or wall decor with your favorite pumpkin patch photos of the kiddos, or a seasonal photo featuring a saying you love. This is the time to give thanks for all those special moments that take place this time of year so say it or show it throughout your home!
